3D Printing & The Future of Fashion

Someday customers will be able to print out clothes in the comfort of their living rooms, and that day is closers than you think.

The first time 3D printed fashion debuted on the runday was at Amsterdam Fashion Week in 2010.

Hussein Chalayan incorporates more technology into his S/S 2012 show

British fashion designer Hussein Chalayan is one designers that incorporates technology into his designs. S/S 2007 a line of animatronic dresses (which zipped, flipped and reconfigured right before your eyes), pixelated LED dresses from F/W 2007 and laser dresses from S/S 2008.

Chalayan says, “Technology is really the only thing through which you can do new things.”

For his S/S 2012 presentation in Paris this September, The Creators Project collaborated with the fashion mogul in order to shake things up a bit. Read more from the source here

Kidult Responds to Céline Spring 2011 Skateboard Campaign

Graffiti artist Kidult has striked again. This time he has tagged the Paris flagship store of French brand Céline. The move comes as a response it seems, to the Spring 2011 campaign of the brand, which featured models Daria Werbowy and Stella Tennant, shot by Juergen Teller, posing with skateboard decks. As such, Kidult did not tag his usual ‘KID’ tag, but rather went with ‘SK8′.
